Liisa Vitali Ladybird ring. N. Westerback, Finland 1972

A vintage silver ring by Finnish designer Liisa Vitali, featuring her characteristic openwork sphere.

At the center sits a warm carnelian orb. 

There is a small age-related separation between two of the openings on the sphere. It is discreet, stable, and does not affect wear.

A lovely example of Finnish modernist design.
